Our classmate Ruby Jones has written and published a book which is available on Amazon.

SEE US:  COLORED, NEGRO, BLACK, AFRICAN AMERICAN. PERSON OF COLOR.

164 Pages.

A compilation of Ruby Jones's poetry written over the course of her life.

This book is a heartfelt compilation of Dr. Jones's poetry, written over the course of her life. Through verse, she reflects on love, loss, identity, and the many facets of the human experience-offering readers a deeply personal glimpse into her journey across generations, cultures, and personal growth.

Since returning to Memphis in 2012, Dr. Jones has continued her service as a volunteer literacy tutor and reading mentor, while remaining active in her church and community. With decades of experience in teaching, translation, cultural scholarship, and service, Ruby Jean Jones exemplifies a life devoted to education, empowerment, and the enduring power of words.

We have lost another AHS 1965 classmate:   Rebeccah Guenther Brown.   Below is what her husband posted.

It is with great sadness that I need to inform all Becky’s friends of her passing early this morning .

It was very sudden we went to the hospital Sunday afternoon. Her vitals were very weak, so she went immediately into hospital hospice care. I was with her at her passing, which was very peaceful .
