John L. Hamilton, 79, passed away on December 25, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 20, 1946 in Alton, IL. to Carl and Erma (Bridgeman) Hamilton.
He was a Sergeant and Vietnam Veteran for the United States Army. He was a storage organizer at Olin. He enjoyed his family and taking care of others. He enjoyed playing Keno for fun.
He is survived by his brothers, David Hamiliton and Michael Hamilton; nieces, Kristina (Andre) Vann and Elizabeth Juhlin; nephew, Robert (Laura) Juhlin; along with several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Patricia Juhlin, Carl Hamilton Jr., Janet Mendez, and an infant brother, William Hamilton
Visitation will be on 9:00 am till the time of service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Burial will be held at Upper Alton Cemetery
