LILLIAN GAIL SCOTT-MILFORD

ALTON — Lillian Gail Scott-Milford, 69, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Born August 18, 1947, in Homerville, Georgia, she was the daughter of Stanley D. and Norma E. (Smith) Gray.

She graduated from Alton High School in 1965, and attended Abundant Life Community Church in Alton. She loved being a grandmother. She was a server at Golden Corral for 15 years, retiring in 2014. She worked as a cosmetologist with her sister, Betty Hanks for 50 years.

On October 5, 2005, she married David Milford in Godfrey. He survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Lori Scott of New York, five sons, David Scott Jr. (Cathy) of Glen Carbon, Eric Scott (Bassie) of Fischers, Indiana, Jonathon Scott of Golconda, Illinois, Timothy Scott (Darlene) of Hartford, and Dennis Scott of Alton, three step-sons, Eric Milford of Alton, Vincent Milford (Heather) of Arnold, Missouri, and David Milford (Twyla) of Alton, 32 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Hanks (Kent) of Godfrey and Laurie Gray-Hillis of Godfrey, and a brother-in-law, Russell Wyman.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Wyman, and a brother, Louis Johnson.

Visitation will be from 1 until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Roy Rhodes will officiate.
