Molly Lois Jackson

Molly Jackson, 73, died November 19, 2020 in her home in Richlands, North Carolina. 

Molly was born in Helena, Arkansas in 1947. She married Jimmy Jackson in 1970 and had a beautiful life and three sons together in love and ministry. With Jimmy being a Methodist pastor, they lived many places spreading the gospel all throughout Kentucky and Mississippi. Molly worked in the Starkville, Mississippi Public School District and was a beloved member of that community for many years. 

Molly loved her kids and grandkids very much and spoiled them every chance she had. After her retirement, she moved from her home in Mississippi to North Carolina to be near them, where she actively attended Haw Branch United Methodist Church in Richlands, North Carolina.

Molly is survived by her sons, Scott (and his wife Janni) and Matthew (and his wife Alisa), and her three granddaughters, Shelby (and her husband Jake Turner), Lauren and Hannah.  Also, her sister Mary Moore, sister-in-law, Judy Jackson and many nieces and nephews.

Molly was preceded in death by her husband James W. Jackson Jr., her son Brian, her father Leland Porter Bailey, her mother LeCygne Bailey, her siblings, Betty Stephens, Marcia Holland and Walter Bailey, her father-in-law James W. Jackson Sr., her mother-in-law, Hazel Jackson Rankin and sisters-in-law, Mary Howell and Elizabeth Pierce. 

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1 from 5:00-7:00 in the evening and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2 at 2:00 in the afternoon, officiated by Rev. Barry Robinson at Forest Hill Home & Memorial Park East in Memphis, Tennessee. All flowers, donations and condolences can be sent in Molly’s name to 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, Tennessee 38133
