Addie Davis
Alton - Addie Davis was born February 7, 1947, in Alton, Illinois. She was the daughter of Jewell and Delma Isom. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church (Gross Street) location.
Addie attended Alton Public Schools, graduating in 1965, from Alton High School. In 1973 she met and married John Davis, the love of her life. This union joined two families together. On December 30, 2022, she departed this life at River Crossing Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, and husband she was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Addie Robinson and son-in-law Michael Turner, nieces Pamela Northern and Joy Isom.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Nicole (John) Sandgren of Alton; Delveena Turner of Bethalto, Jelani Davis of Alton; Vallarie Franklin of Godfrey; and John Davis, Jr. of California; grandchildren, Robbie (Fred) Franklin of Georgia; Jonathan Franklin of St. Louis; and Ariana Steward of Alton, great-grandchildren, Noah, Donovan, and Mason, her siblings George (Gwen) Isom and Betty Davis of Alton; and John (Rita) Isom of Edwardsville. She cherished her friendships with Luther Simmons, Pamela Portee and Wilmatine Isom, many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
